Our Peloton Tread is on the 2nd floor and before the mat you could hear ever bang and it shook the ceiling! No more noise or vibration!! I can do my 4:45am workouts and not bother my family!! Life changer! Does have the odor everyone talks about, but really didn’t bother me that much. Installed same day it was delivered! If you already have your Tread, raise it to 2% incline, lift the back and then just roll the tread! Was easy for my wife and I to install!Works great with my peloton treadmill. The treadmill used to slowly walk it’s way across the room on the bare floor. This may keeps it in place without interfering with any operation of the tread. I was worried that the incline might be an issue, but this mat is firm enough that there is absolutely no issue!I spent a long time researching different mats to put underneath my Peloton Tread and ultimately went with this mat (IncStores Thick Premium Rubber Floor Mat). I couldn't be happier! I'm very impressed with how thick and heavy the mat is. Does not move at all on my hardwood floors. It did have a medium-strong smell on arrival, but I kept it in my garage to air out for a day on each side and cleaned it with Lysol and within 4-5 days inside the smell completely disappeared. The Peloton delivery team was really impressed with the mat, as well. This mat is definitely on the expensive end of the spectrum, but is well-worth the cost!We've been using this mat for one year now, and it is still perfect for us.Our gym/workout area is on nice hardwood and we were concerned about the weight of the Peloton Tread and potential damage from raising the incline (the Tread pushes two wheels down onto the floor to raise the machine). For our old treadmill we used a basic foam mat, which was sufficient. But it surely would not work under the 400lbs Tread. So we searched online and couldn’t find any feedback from Tread users on a mat recommendation. Of note, the Tread manual says that you should not use a mat under the Tread (feasibly because it could impede the use of the inline wheels).We purchased this mat and got it in 2 days with prime shipping!!It’s a high-density heavy duty rubber mat, 4’x6’ (perfect size for the Tread), 3/8 inch thick. It is working beautifully. It seems to attenuate vibrations, and most importantly for us, it protects our hardwood perfectly. The Peloton installer even noted the quality of the mat: “that’s it right here, this is the best mat you get get!”We ordered the mat a week before the delivery of the Tread based on product reviews that noted a strong rubber smell, and the recommendation to air out the mat first. So we unpacked it outside and left it to air for about four days. There was still a faint rubber smell after four days, but it was bearable. No one in the family really complained or mentioned the smell. After two or three weeks, the smell was gone.So if you are ordering the Tread, this is a decent mat that will do the trick, but remember to plan ahead. I hope this review was helpful!I bought this mat to go under our new Peloton Tread treadmill. The mat is very heavy and thick, and does have a bit of an odor when you first open the packaging. As other reviewers suggested, I left ours outdoors for a week and washed it with car washing detergent twice, and when I brought it inside there was no odor at all. It is the perfect size to fit under the Tread, and their has been no damage caused by the wheels that lift the Tread when you raise the incline. This is an important point; if you buy a cheap or pliable/spongy mat, the incline wheels of the Tread and many other treadmills will rip through it very quickly. Very happy with this mat and would recommend.This is GREAT quality gym mat. I just purchased another one to expand the size of my lifting box. I first purchased these about a year ago and have done a year's worth of workouts dropping bumper plates and bars on it and it looks just like the day I put it down. Just be aware, if you're installing it indoors, it does OUT-GAS for a while. When you first unpack it, wipe both sides down with a neutral Ph cleaner and then if you can, lay it out in the sun for a week, flipping it over everyday. That will eliminate the majority of the odor. The ones I purchased last year continued to out-gas slightly when I used them for about a month after installation, but then the odor completely went away. For the price and quality, it's well worth the needed work up front to get the odor out.Was looking for a heavy duty equipment mat for a 450lbs+ treadmill and purchased the all black mat. It arrived ON-TIME in a torn, completely open box...so it was aired out for me in advance and I had no issues with the odor as some reviews mention. I was able to unroll and move to designated area without any special tools, just grabbed one end and pulled. Mopped it..super easy to clean...and had the treadmill delivered and placed on the mat.I bought this mat for a Peloton Tread which is 6 feet by 2.7 feet (72.5” L x 32.5” W x 72” H) and over 450lbs+. I wanted something to help withy 1) vibration and 2) protect my wood floors from indentation and this mat is perfect. Initially I thought this mat was pricey but after getting it and using it I think it’s absolutely worth it.The Rubber Gym Mat arrived promptly on day estimated. Box was a bit beat up due to 60-lb weight. The 4x6 mat was more than I could lift. Luckily the Peloton installation techs helped out by carrying it in house, unrolling, and placing it under treadmill. They techs even commented this was the quality of mat ideal for a tread that raises on rollers with incline adjustment. Less rigid mats would be pushed along with rollers or impede roller movement.This is true gym quality mat well worth the price. The tread weighs nearly 500-lbs, so I hope we won't need move or lift up this tread to replace a mat failure.Only had mat 1-day, so will write again about durability after few months.
