After doing a lot of searching for a portable fitness timer, I decided to purchase the Slevio Interval Fitness Timer. I received it in April 19, 2022, and I can say that I absolutely loved it!! However, I went to use it on May 7, 2022, to find that it would not display the intervals. It would display the current time, but once I started cycling through to set my 45:15 interval, the screen went blank with only the “:” being illuminated. I thought it was probably low on battery so I plugged it in and let it charge overnight. When I checked it the following day, the exact same thing happened; it displayed the current time perfectly, but when I cycled through to set my intervals, the screen would black out and only display the colon.I had only had this for 2.5 weeks, so I was quite disappointed. I emailed Customer Service about this issue and they promptly emailed me back. I could tell it wasn’t an automated message system because they were genuine and stood behind their product 100%, and immediately sent me a new timer! I can’t say enough about how awesome their Customer Service was! They have even checked in with me a few times since receiving the new timer.So, everything works great with the new one and I’m back to loving it! The other one must have had a flaw. (Don’t we all!) I did find it rather confusing to use at first, but the more I played around with it, the more user friendly it got. You can adjust the volume, display the current time, count up, count down, set intervals, set an alarm, and a few other features. It has a very strong magnet on the back, so when I’m at home I have it stuck to my squat rack. I took it with me to our Airbnb last month and it was perfect for teaching my online fitness classes! It comes with a carrying case.This is an awesome rechargeable gym timer with a magnetic back which allows me to place it on multiple metal surfaces without having to drill holes on my wall or connect to a power supply. Although the display is very clear, the screen started to peel off so I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement right away. Great product and customer service!I paid $38.99 for the timer, which was a great price for all of the features that it provides. The magnet is actually pretty strong, as long as it is being attached to metal that is relatively thick. If you are trying to attach it to something super flimsy, don't expect it to hold with a lot of strength. The instructions are very detailed, but it is still a little confusing to get going at first. I don't necessarily blame the product, as almost all portable gym timers similar to it require the programming via the buttons on the device. After you get a hang for the programming, it isn't too bad. Just spend some extra time when you first get it to get familiar and get it setup before taking it into the gym. The microfiber pouch that comes with it is a really nice touch, and it does a great job of keeping it protected when not in use. Overall, I am very happy with it, and it is excellent to help keep track of my individual CrossFit workouts.Due to COVID , I started to work out at home instead of going to gym . It’s really visible outdoors and it’s magnetic , easy to place in anywhere . Battery life is better than I thought . It’s been four days since last charged .I really enjoy this timer. It is light weight and will not take much space but yet with great functions. Perfect size for carrying around to gym or just use it within the house as a clock and timer. This product definitely worth the price and fulfilled my needs I would totally recommend it!It’s pretty straightforward. Easy to use. I like the magnet on the back. I use this for my BJJ gym.* Chraging:Received it with empty battery.Set it up to charge. Charger showed clock was draining 600mA at 5.14V (reasonable).Initially it would not turn on for a few seconds during which it was making a clicking sound. Then it turned on, battery blinking , not all segments turning on. Turned it back off.I let it charge until the charger reported 0mA drain and that was 6h30 later.After full charge everything seems to work as expected.* Battery drain test:Setup the Up timer. Ran it, constantly monitoring it while on. Ran continuously for 5h day 1 and 5h40 day 2 until the red blinking battery indicator turned on. So only 10H40 and not close to 30H.Will update this review after using it for a week while pretending to be doing my WODs.Ordered the timer. The first one arrived not functioning correctly (vertical displays wouldn't show). Requested a replacement and it works. Not the case but my mistake. The manual programming of the timer is tedious and not intuitive. The instructions are not great. That said, once you figure it out it is tolerable.Loud enough. Bright enough. Looks like it has good build quality but mine went dead after a few days and I returned it as defective, otherwise I would have kept it. Update: the seller reached out to me to indicate this was probably due to using a high power AC charger. Kudos to them for reaching out to me.If they added Bluetooth and an app and improved the compatibility with high power AC adapters this would unquestionably be the best in class product available.Unfortunately I received a defective product however the customer service is amazing. Quick response and I received a replacement immediately. Took a little time figuring out the different types of features but once I figure it out it quite easy to use.I like it cause I know the time and I can countdown I’m not much into the interval training however I like the fact that it has a magnet and you could slap it anywhere and you know where you’re at in your work out. And the brightness is greatI use this timer in a well lit fitness room (overhead lights + natural daylight through a wall of windows). Not quite as bright / easy to read as I’d like - other than than, works well.
